PMHCA Project: Family & Student Resources

What is PMHCA?

The Pediatric Mental Health Care Access (PMHCA) Program is funded through the Health Resources & Services Administration (HRSA) to promote behavioral health integration into pediatric primary care by using telehealth to provide quality and timely detection, assessment, treatment, and referral for children and adolescents, with behavioral health conditions, using evidence-based practices and methods. NYSBHA has been fortunate enough to partner with the New York State Department of Health Bureau of Child Health on this program to expand the capacity of school-based health centers (SBHCs) to utilize telehealth as a service model for mental health services.

We now would like to invite you to register for the first session of our Telehealth for School-Based Mental Health workshop series, supported by an HRSA grant administered by the New York Department of Health’s Bureau of Child Health.

To help you to get the most value for your student’s mental health out of integrating video visits, we are offering you the workshop on Thursday April 3 at 2:00 PM.

In this workshop, facilitated by experienced school-based telehealth implementation experts, we will cover the following topics:

   Workshop 3 – May 15, 2025, 2 PM: (Re-)Launching SBHC TBH Services

In addition to best practices, you will also hear success stories from your colleagues at SBHCs that are successfully leveraging video visits into their mental health services.
